There's Something in the Barn

An American family fulfills their dream of going back to their roots after inheriting a remote cabin in the mountains of Norway. But there's more than a culture shock waiting for them at their new home.
This is definitely one of the most bizarre movies ever created, it feels like you are watching a family-friendly Christmas movie for children, but it has been defiled with gore and violence.
The story draws on Scandinavian folklore, wherein spirits inhabit households and punish those who disrespect traditions; this manifests as elves that look a lot like like little Santas or very large garden gnomes.
Very good characterization, particularly the Norwegians and the goofy American Dad.
The first act plays like a fish‑out‑of‑water comedy, with lighthearted culture‑clash humour and festive family banter, but then descends into blood splatter fest.
We get two excellent and creative kills, very unique and bloody.
The film has a wild climax and is wrapped up nicely at the conclusion like a family-friendly Hallmark movie, there is really nothing quite like it.
Directed by Magnus Martens, a veteran tv series director, with many episodes in 'The Walking Dead' spin offs.
The 'There's Something in the Barn' cast features: Martin Starr, Amrita Acharia, Kiran Shah, Zoe Winther-Hansen, Townes Bunner, Calle Hellevang Larsen, Henriette Steenstrup, and others.
