Secret Santa

2018

Adam Marcus

Christmas, Comedy, Horror, Not Scary, Splatter, Winter, Thriller, Campy

When one of the dinner guest enacts revenge, the Christmas gathering brings tidings of death for this dysfunctional family, and the bloody chaos is rapidly escalating. Will there be any survivors of this unintentional murder spree?

This lesser known Christmas comedy is a bloody good time, wonderfully entertaining.
The film is very Christmassy, all the festive decorations and atmosphere of the holiday dinner with your family.
Really great characterization for the main characters, each one is distinct and memorable, and we love that they included a character with a stutter.
The dialogue and comedy are top notch, so genuinely funny, the campy personalities are hilarious.
We get some great fight scenes and gore.
There is a good score, a mix of holiday tracks and adrenaline pumping arrangements.
Was this film slightly inspired by the plot of '28 Days Later' (2002), perhaps?
This might be a great movie to put on after your Christmas dinner and enjoy with your own family; fair warning there is a little bit of sex talk and sex scenes.
Directed by the largely unknown Adam Marcus, his only other horror movie was 'Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday' (1993).
'Secret Santa' cast features Michael Rady, Drew Lynch, Debra Sullivan, A. Leslie Kies, Ryan Leigh Seaton, John Gilbert, Pat Destro, Nathan Hedrick and Michelle Renee Allaire.
