This film is terrifying and has excellent jump scares, a modern must-see classic, everything is perfection from the setting, to the effects, to the acting.
The film slowly builds tension to a thrilling boiling point, great character building, without being too long.
This Conjuring spurred a renaissance in horror, and has become a cinematic universe with 10+ interconnected films (Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Nun).
What makes this universe special is the recurring characters Lorraine and Ed, who are based on real life people that have left endless material to create films off of.
Features Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Sterling Jerins, Joey King, Shannon Kook, and Joseph Bishara.
