Prey For The Devil

Another Catholic possession story, certainly not breaking the wheel but an enjoyable ride for the exorcism flick fans.
This story does break one rule, and that is that a woman is the exorcist, something that goes against Catholic tradition and is a slightly refreshing change in a subgenre that typically stars male characters.
We get some interesting twists as the story unfolds into a battle for good not to be consumed by evil.
Byers gives a great performance and the film has an intense and eerie atmosphere.
The scenes with the demon are very terrifying and disturbing, really well done, and there are several great jump scares that will make you spill the popcorn.
This was Ben Cross's last film, rest in peace.
