'Five Nights At Freddy's 2' plot summary: One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town's first ever Fazfest. Former security guard Mike and police officer Vanessa have kept the truth from Mike's 11-year-old sister, Abby, concerning the fate of her animatronic friends. But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy's, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.
Based on the 2014 survival video game, and the game creator actually wrote the screenplay for this film adaptation.
Josh Hutcherson reprises his role as Mike Schmidt, with Piper Rubio as Abby, Matthew Lillard returning, and new cast member McKenna Grace joining the sequel.
The president of Blumhouse said “We took lots of criticism… Freddy Fazbear’s fans, if you felt like Five Nights at Freddy’s film did not do justice to the animatronics’ violent side, you’ve been heard. The upcoming sequel will be substantially darker than its predecessor.” - collider.com

Emma Tammi returns to direct this sequel, she is also known for 'The Wind' (2018).
