The Mummy's Hand
1940
Christy Cabanne
Mummies, Black & White, Sequel, Comedy, Not Scary
Can't get enough Mummies?
This black & white film has a good pace, a nice score, and is perfect background noise for cleaning your cave or baking creepy treats.
Not surprisingly, this film from the 40's doesn't actually feature any Egyptians and does have several instances of actors using makeup to darken their skin.
This film was kind of a sequel of 'The Mummy' (1932) and spawned several more sequels, 'The Mummy's Tomb', The Mummy's Ghost', and 'The Mummy's Curse' which are watchable but really just more of the same.
There is a 5th sequel, a comedy we recommend watching 'Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy'.
Stock footage from 'The Mummy' was used due to budget issues.
Features Dick Foran, Peggy Moran, Wallace Ford, Eduardo Ciannelli, Cecil Kellaway, George Zucco, Charles Trowbridge, Tom Tyler, and others.
