M3gan 2.0
2025
Gerard Johnstone
Sequel, Robots, Action, Comedy, Not Scary, Campy, Family-Friendly
The sequel to the smash hit robot doll film 'M3gan' (2022), from the director of the original, Gerard Johnstone.
We think many will find this sequel disappointing, not to say that is a bad film, it's just not scary or creepy like the original, it is more of an action superhero or spy blockbuster than a horror film.
While the original film was decidedly about an evil killer robot doll, this one is more about artificial intelligence and has a lot of humour.
While both films are rated PG-13, we put this one more into the family-friendly category, there are kills though, so use your own discretion parents.
The fight and dancing scenes are really well done, wonderfully choreographed.
Themes explored include AI ethics, tech addiction, billionaire influence, and AI integration into our civilization.
Features Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, the voice of Jenna Davis, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, Jen Van Epps, Jemaine Clement, and others.
