Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

We have not tagged this as a sequel because it is not, but it is an imagining of the continuation of the story, Hansel & Gretel are adults with a passionate purpose, they are witch hunters.
The action scenes are really well done, so thrilling and fun, with excessive gun slinging and gore.
The dark comedy is genuinely funny and a bit campy, the acting is excellent, the costume design and makeup is really top notch, the score is excellent, and there are so many special effects.
We wish the film had been a little more in several ways: more character development, more world-building, and more dialogue.
The film was wildly successful at the box office and has gained a cult following over the years, particularly for it's steam punk elements, but sadly, a sequel failed to come to fruition.
Definitely not family-friendly, this film is rated R, it is quite scary and even has some nudity.
