Get Out

This sinister film was Peele’s directorial debut, and it is very impressive.
The script is excellent, with great racial commentary on American society, specifically; systemic racism, racism denial. The film also has great twists, but due to the constant foreshadowing, you will likely see them coming.
There is quite a bit of satire in this, definitely necessary for some relief while you are digesting.
The film does have some thrilling scary parts, but it is more an uncomfortable sense of dread that will eat away at your gut, great suspense.
Interestingly, there was a different ending filmed that was ultimately decided to be too dark and depressing.
