The Blob

This film is a remake of 50’s original and it is much better, although you should still see the original.
Chalk full of iconic Americana, this film is so much fun, one of our absolute faves and a must-see classic.
They have changed the story a bit, the blob escapes from a government lab, not an alien.
The film uses stop motion and special effects skillfully, incredible 80’s gore, brutal gross deaths, so funny and thrilling.
It certainly feels inspired by The Goonies with its ‘kids save the town’ trope.
Perfect viewing for drinks with friends, even your scaredy cat friends can watch this one.
Has a jump scare so good you might spill the popcorn, and very unique deaths.
