We all had that one house in the neighbourhood we were scared of as kids, and that is what this film is built off of, that fear and childhood imagination.
This animated film came out a few years before Coraline and wowed audiences, we think it is a must-see masterpiece even though the animation is very turn of the century like 'Monsters Ink'.
We absolutely love that this film takes place on Halloween!
The film was done with motion capture technology, which is why the characters seem so life like.
Interesting fact, this is a rare film with any entirely original story, it is not based on any source material.
We do find this film somewhat reminiscent of the terrifying clown film 'IT', maybe they stole some ideas from this kids' film.
The characters are really great, some good laughs, and a great story.
This thrilling family-friendly film is a bit scary, so use your discretion parents, don't want the kids to have nightmares for weeks.
