Hubie Halloween
2020
Steven Brill
Comedy, Family-Friendly, Mystery, Werewolves, Campy
This film obviously takes place at Halloween and has great imagery of the holiday, it is even set in the world-famous spooky town of Salem.
Sandler has always been a big fan of Halloween, and he wanted to create a film that celebrated the holiday in a fun and over-the-top way.
You can also expect a cast of familiar Sandler film faces, although he isn't the director, he always brings his casts of close friends into his comedy films.
Sandler hasn't changed his style of comedy in the last 30 years, very Boomer and Gen X humour, very juvenile.
You may be wondering if he is portraying a person with a retardation, he actually is not, they are just very socially awkward.
The plot is pretty predictable and digestible, but sometimes that is just what you need, a silly and light hearted film with lots of laughs.
Some viewers will indulge in the nostalgia of Sandler's comedy and others will cringe at the low brow humour.
Features Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, Rob Schneider, June Squibb, Kenan Thompson, Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Buscemi, Tim Meadows, Maya Rudolph, Ben Stiller, and others.
