Brightburn

There isn’t any other film quite like this that has made it into our ranks, we really enjoy this fresh idea, it’s almost like a twisted Superman origin story.
The film seems more like it was made in the 2000’s as it lacks in many aspects, not quite done baking.
Some gruesome gory deaths, a great combo of special effects and CGI, and even a few jump scares.
The child actor gives a shockingly good performance.
The plot does feel somewhat predictable and we would have liked more character development, but overall this is an entertaining film.
Interestingly, the film was produced by James Gunn, known for directing the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
As of 2024 a sequel is possible but not confirmed.
