Malevolent

This British film gives us yet another story about fraudulent ghost-hunters, this jumping off point has been done to death, however, this is a really fresh new twist on this storyline.
The setting is excellent and eerie, a very creepy historic mansion.
Horror rookies will find this quite scary, there is some very disturbing body mutilation, horror veterans will be left wanting a little more.
Great acting from Pugh really carries the film, but we could have used a little more character development for the entire cast.
The film has a controversial twist that will thrill some and leave others disappointed.
