The Halloween Tree

1993

Mario Piluso

Family-Friendly, Mummies, Must-See, Not Scary, Paranormal, Witchcraft, Monsters, Animated

This beautiful must-see animated film is a Halloween classic, easily the best family-friendly spooky flick to watch on Halloween night.
Based on Ray Bradbury's novel of the same name (1972), it is also narrated by the author who won an Emmy for this film, his narration adds a spooky and poetic charm.
The story follows some kids going trick or treating and the depths of their imagination, centering on their friendship, personal sacrifice, and the passage of time.
There is incredible holiday imagery as we get to meet all manner of supernatural and paranormal entities, discover the origin of the holiday, and learn how the holiday is celebrated around the world.
Leonard Nimoy voices a character, exceptionally haunting addition, perfect voice for it.
We highly recommend you watch this one after taking the kids trick or treating, a perfect send off to a candy dreamland sleep.
