What is more Halloween than Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow?
Interestingly, another Sleepy Hollow film came out the same year but was crushed by this one.
Costumes compliment incredible spooky and dreary sets that are almost too perfected, creating an awe-inspiring atmosphere akin to Harry Potter.
The whimsical score is good, but mutes the intensity and scare factor.
Despite being Rated R and full of bloody murders, the film is very Disneyfied.
This film is okay for teens and we recommend watching in complete darkness.
Stars a young Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, and Christopher Walken.
