What Lies Beneath

This eerie and atmospheric film is a thrilling slow burn filled with suspense and twists.
The haunting score is excellent and pairs nicely with the secluded cottage setting.
The film is scary, a few jump scares, but it is more on the chilling side and will fill you with existential dread.
The performances from Pfeiffer and Ford are great.
Interesting fact: for the very memorable bath tub scene, five different versions of the bathroom set were constructed and they were not all in the same US state.
