You will probably find this original non-musical version hard to watch, maybe even annoying and cringey.
There is a lot of theatrical over-acting, over-dramatic music, and if you are watching a colourised version, it will have very bad lighting.
This film is really a great time capsule of 1960’s life and culture; it’s very weird to see people apparently living in Southern California dressed in such heavy clothes.
There are actually two different versions with different endings.
Features Jack Nicholson, Jonathan Haze, Jackie Joseph, Mel Welles, and others.
