Avant-Garde, Paranormal, Haunted House , Scary, Campy
It's a bit hard to categorize this science fiction film with H.P Lovecraft vibes, but we have settled on Paranormal.
The film has an excellent cold open, such a good mood setter, and the atmosphere created by the set and score combination is great, so dark and eerie.
The special effects are just insane, so cool and disgusting, a lot of gore and body horror although it's a bit cheesy.
You will be wondering if the film is satire, its very very campy.
The plot is pretty confusing, nothing is explained.
Just when you think it couldn't possibly get weirder, wait 30 seconds and it will, the film is so wild and seems to go on forever.
Like most films from the 80's, it features a lot of female nudity that is completely unnecessary.
If you really love 80's gore and camp, this is a must-watch, but others may find it to be a bit too much.
Features Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Ken Foree, Ted Sorel, Carolyn Purdy-Gordon, and others.
