Get Away

A different kind of slay-cation, a stereotypical British family goes on holiday in Sweden, making a unusual visit to the remote island of Svalta for the local "Karantan Festival".
Written by comedian Nick Frost (also stars); the film is a dark comedy, satirical and cringe, poking fun at the reputation of British tourists, cultural misunderstandings, and horror clichés.
The film is full of classic horror tropes; of course they don't have cell service, of course the characters are stupid and ignore signs of danger.
The excellent score is a mix of synth-heavy beats, eerie folk compositions, and even a Heavy Metal track; building tension and heightening intensity.
The pace can feel a little slow until the absolutely sick and twisted deaths begin, so brutal and bloody.
If you love twists, you're in a for a big surprise, we don't think you will see this one coming.
We recommend watching this comedy over some drinks with friends.
