The Haunting

An absolutely insane set, the mansion looks out of this world, so spooky and magical; unfortunately, that is the best part of the film.
Very 90’s CGI reminiscent of Casper or Ghostbusters.
The way the star-studded cast interacts with each other and to scary events is strange, why are they not freaking out?? This mansion is haunted!
This remake is based off The Haunting of Hill House books, yes, like the tv series.
The film is let down by the score, there is not a lot happening, not much tension, and it is about as scary as Harry Potter.
However, if you have kids and you want to dip their toes into horror, this is the perfect film to get them interested and not have nightmares.
